Ask for the business name, whether it handles your address and problem, and what any visit or diagnostic charge covers. Verify applicable Oregon credentials before authorizing plumbing work. If a different company will perform the work, ask for that company's identity and terms as well. Know who will bill you and who owns follow-up. The agreement for work is between you and the actual provider, not Portland Leak Notes.

A short description is enough to begin

Useful facts include the room or exterior location, the time first noticed, any fixture use associated with it, and whether a known shutoff was operated safely. Mention previous repairs and shared-building coordination after describing the current condition. Do not run a leaking fixture again simply to have more information for the call.

Use a different route for official or emergency matters
